The Department conducts systematic training of specialists in three educational programs. along with the direct tasks of training specialists, the Department has the task of developing and preserving folk art and folk costumes. The Department's priority areas are: * study, preservation and effective use of the historical and cultural heritage of the region, * preservation and development of folk art, * support for young talents, * methodological, informational, personnel, material and technical support. Residents of the region had the opportunity to get acquainted with the teaching staff of the Department and students of the specialty professional education and design. The teaching staff of the Department, together with their students, organizes traditional exhibitions of creative works in the regional exhibition hall. Exhibitions are held to promote folk art and folk costumes among the population, as well as to identify and support new talents.

Graduates of the specialty "professional training and artistic work" can perform the following types of professional activities based on their knowledge:

Organization of training: in the main disciplines taught at the Department, educational and methodological complexes, syllabuses, test questions are developed, lectures and practical classes, pedagogical, special, technological, and continuous practices are conducted. The Department employs members of the Union of artists of Kazakhstan, member of the Union of designers of Kazakhstan, excellence in public education, associate Professor, master, senior teachers and teachers.
