INVENTION
The Taraz Regional University named after M.KH. Dulaty develops scientific directions, defines priority areas for the development of science and technology, concentrates available resources in these areas, creates a new technological base for the industrial development of the country and creates new mechanisms for market functioning in the scientific area.
Taraz Regional University named after M.KH. Dulaty, with a history of sixty years, is the largest patent holder in the region. The reason for this is the availability of material, scientific, technical and production facilities, which enable university scientists to carry out more higher scientific researches at the highest scientific and technical level.
The University's intellectual property activities are coordinated by the “Patents and Metrology” Section of the R&D Organisation and Coordination Department. The sector is effectively working to ensure that an innovation patent and a Republic of Kazakhstan patent based on the scientific novelty of scientists based on the above-mentioned research results are submitted to the National Institute of Intellectual Property for an industrial patent application. It provides advisory support to teachers, students, doctoral students and undergraduates on issues of protection and industrial property protection, patent research studies. The university's patent collection is updated annually with special bulletins and literature. Dean of "Oil and gas and mechanics" faculty K.K.Shilibek and head of "Patents and metrology" department N.J.Jolamanov published books in 2010 based on inventions "100 inventions of doctor of technical sciences, professor A.Abduramanov" according to the security documents received within the last nineteen years in 2018, "Bibliographic Index of Intellectual Property of TarSU named after M.KH. Dulaty (1999-2018)”, in 2013 "Inventions in the Field of Hydraulic Engineering and Life Safety by professor S. Koibakov".
In the field of inventions, activity is shown by professor A.A. Abdramanov, doctor of technical sciences, professor S. Koibakov, doctor of technical sciences, professor I. Bekbasarov, doctor of technical sciences, professor A.A. Sagyndykov, candidate of technical sciences, professor A.Asanov, candidate of technical sciences, associate professor S. Zholdosov.
Inventions are mainly focused on the production of high-performance materials, machines and technologies, for the light, food, chemical, hydraulic and construction industries. The university is currently working closely with the National Institute of Intellectual property.

At the same time, university inventors regularly participated in the national competition “Shapagat” organised by the National Institute of Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan for inventions, and some of them won. In 2014, by order of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor S. Koibakov was awarded the title "Honoured Inventor" of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the results of the IX National Contest "Shapagat" in the field of inventions, Professor A.Abdramanov won the Gold Medal "for contribution to the field of inventions and patents" of the Eurasian Patent Organization. V.I. Blinnikov.
Associate Professor K.K. Shilibek, PhD, was awarded the "Best Inventor" diploma and a gold medal from the World Intellectual Property Organisation for the dissemination of industrial property patents and inventions.
