The purpose of the competition is to support startups and develop innovative solutions for identifying the best projects in the field of new energy technologies, ecology, cost reduction, waste disposal, and recycling. It aims to promote startup culture among youth and foster the development of the best ideas in the industry.
Bekdaul Ipdildaev, Director of the Joint Stock Company "Bank CentrCredit" in Taraz, Kuanishbek Nurekeev, Chief Engineer of the Main Gas Pipeline Directorate at the Joint Stock Company "Intergas Central Asia" in Taraz, member of the board and Vice-Rector for Science and Digitalization, Seitjan Orynbaev, head of the Environmental Testing Laboratory of the Environmental Management of the Zhambyl region, Dzakhanger Nazarbekov, and Head of the Department of "Chemistry and Chemical Technology", Doctor of Chemical Sciences, leader of the winners of the "Kazenergy: Student Energy Challenge" 2023, Marjan Kalmakhanova.
Seitjan Orynbaev, Vice-Rector for Science and Digitalization, opened the competition with a congratulatory speech and emphasized the importance of the startup in the energy and ecology sectors. He noted that this is a competition of projects aimed at solving environmental and energy issues in the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He also mentioned that he hopes the prize fund will serve as the first investment in the development of participants' projects.
Eleven student teams aged 18 to 25 competed, testing their knowledge, skills, and experience while presenting their projects to the jury. A brief description of the project, its stages, processes, technology, results, etc., was presented to showcase the project. For project visualization, the teams prepared presentations, which included a concise description of the project.
Special attention was paid to the social benefit and economic efficiency of the prepared project. The prize fund for the best teams consisted of monetary awards: 500,000 tenge, and the winning team would receive an invitation to the "STUDENT ENERGY CHALLENGE" competition organized by the "KAZENERGY" association.

Following the results of the competition, the expert committee made the following decisions:
1st place – DULATY ENACTUS team – 200,000 tenge
2nd place – HEXAGON team – 150,000 tenge (students of the "Physics and Informatics" department, Faculty of Natural Sciences)
3rd place – ECOSTART team – 100,000 tenge (students of the "Physics and Informatics" department, Faculty of Natural Sciences)
Additionally, the winning team, DULATY ENACTUS, received an invitation to participate in the "STUDENT ENERGY CHALLENGE," organized by the "KAZENERGY" association.
Upon completion of the competition, participants expressed gratitude to the university team and the organizers and noted that the competition was highly competitive.
