«WORLD LANGUAGES» DEPARTMENT

Senior lecturers of the "World Languages" Department, G.A. Alimkhanova and Zh.E. Nusipakin, together with 3rd and 4th-year students studying the culture of English-speaking countries, organized a festive event dedicated to Thanksgiving Day. The program was rich and vibrant, reflecting the main traditions of this holiday. Students prepared thematic skits that showcased the history and meaning of Thanksgiving, including a scene of the first Thanksgiving dinner between the Pilgrims and Native Americans.
The event was especially decorated with musical numbers: popular songs were performed, accompanied by energetic dances, humorous sketches and parodies of teachers, and video clips with words of gratitude. Guests were able to participate in exciting games, such as quizzes on the knowledge of traditions and symbols of the holiday. The atmosphere of friendship and warmth was complemented by decorative elements, such as wicker baskets filled with fruits, pumpkins and corn. The celebration concluded with the awarding of memorable prizes and gifts in various nominations to the participants of the "Autumn Composition" contest.
This event allowed students not only to deepen their knowledge of the culture of English-speaking countries but also to enjoy the spirit of a real Thanksgiving Day.
