In today’s modern educational space, the issue of career guidance for the younger generation is highly relevant. Contemporary societal trends, the dynamics of the labor market, and technological progress significantly influence the requirements placed on modern individuals. The state's demand for talented and creative youth underscores the need for early professional and personal self-determination among young people.
The primary goals of organizing career guidance in schools aim to create conditions for identifying students' professional interests and inclinations, exploring specific opportunities for mastering various professions, providing psychological and pedagogical support in professional self-determination, and facilitating successful socialization in society.
On November 21, 2024, as part of the career guidance plan of the Faculty of Philology and Humanities at Taraz University named after M.Kh. Dulati, senior lecturers of the Department of Russian Language and Literature — Z.D. Tulegenova, R.S. Mardazimova, and B.A. Maldybaeva — organized a visit to Torebay Akbozov Secondary School in the village of Kokozek in the Bayzak District of Zhambyl Region. Career guidance activities were also conducted for graduates of Sydyk Ablanov Secondary School in the village of Bayzak and Berikkara Secondary School in the village of Aymantobe.
The event involved 57 graduates, along with the deputy principal for academic affairs and a subject teacher. After watching video presentations about the university, the students received answers to their profession-related questions. Personalized information was provided about the departments of the Faculty of Philology and Humanities. Additionally, details were shared about the faculty of the Department of Russian Language and Literature.
Career guidance in schools is a system of activities aimed at helping students choose a profession and acquire the necessary knowledge about the socio-economic and psychophysiological characteristics of professions, as well as the requirements placed on individuals.
