December 16, 1991, is a monumental date in the history of our country. It symbolizes the realization of our ancestors' dream of a sovereign state.
The President of Kazakhstan, K.K. Tokayev, emphasizes that we must work together to embrace the true spirit of patriotism and further strengthen our sacred Independence. Our task is to instill a sense of patriotism in the younger generation and direct their efforts toward the prosperity of our country.
Associate professors of the Department of Russian Language and Literature at Taraz University named after M.Kh. Dulati — M.E. Minaydarova and A.A. Aladina, senior lecturers Zh.B. Mykhanova, K.R. Kazakbayeva, S.N. Kungurova, lecturer G.S. Sharinova, along with first-year students of the "Two Foreign Languages" educational program and the Faculty of Technology — participated in a thematic evening titled *"Bloom, My Kazakhstan"* as part of the celebrations for Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event, held in the format of an open-mic session *"Let’s Talk!"*, took place at the Zhambyl Regional Russian Drama Theater.
During the evening, the audience was addressed by Seitkhan Muratovich Kuantayev, Chairman of the Republican Public Association *“Union of Veterans and Soldiers of Special Risk.”* He presented Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Language and Literature Maria Estaevna Minaydarova with the *"Patriot of Kazakhstan"* badge. In her response, Maria Estaevna spoke about the significance of the holiday, emphasizing the importance of loving one’s homeland and contributing to the preservation of Independence and the prosperity of Kazakhstan.
Theater artists performed patriotic songs and recited quotes about the homeland from great writers and statesmen. Students participated in a quiz about the homeland and patriotism, sharing their perspectives. Each student expressed their personal understanding of Kazakhstan and patriotism, describing it as a connection to native places, traditions, and spiritual values passed down through generations. The discussions were filled with emotion and sincerity.
Active participants in the event included students Gulzhan Maksatova (group SHT-24-5), Ayaulym Zauirbek (group ORiP-24), Ademi Sabit, Kydyrbai Alina (group SHT-24-9), and others. The thematic evening concluded with the song *"Sen Sulu"* by Shamshi Kaldayakov, performed by students of group SHT-24-5.
