UI GreenMetric Awards 2024: Strengthening Sustainabilityin Higher Education
On December 12, 2024, the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2024 awards ceremony took place in São Paulo, Brazil, hosted by the University of São Paulo. This landmarkevent celebrated a significant increase in participation, withnearly 300 new universities joining the ranking, includingDulaty University, which made its debut in the global list.
In 2024, the ranking included 1,477 universities from 95 countries, demonstrating the growing global commitment tosustainability. Among the new participants were universities from 11 countries, such as Algeria, Kenya, and South Korea. This expansion highlights the leading role of universities indriving change and promoting ecological responsibility.
Dulaty University’s Position in the Ranking.
Dulati University ranked 1291st globally and 22nd among Kazakhstani universities, showcasing its efforts in sustainable development and environmental responsibility.
Chairperson of UI GreenMetric, Prof. Riri Fitri Sari, emphasized:

Leading positions in the ranking are held byuniversities with outstanding results, such as Wageningen University & Research (Netherlands) and Nottingham Trent University (United Kingdom).
