The department is designed for the effective organization and implementation of online learning technologies in the educational process of the university: digital educational resources, computer-based tools using modern telecommunications and information capabilities, including mass open online courses. Aimed at realizing the main goals of higher education related to ensuring high quality training and retraining of modern specialists while reducing non-production costs of training.
To ensure high-quality and interactive content of digital educational resources for online learning, department employees conduct the following courses to improve competencies:
- Modern IT competencies of a teacher: digital transformation and online technologies in education.
- Features of video production of online courses.
- Development of massive open online courses.
Also, in the period 2016-2019, employees of the department were active participants in the international project ERASMUS+ LMPI - “Bachelor's and Professional Master's program in the development, administration, management and protection of computer systems and networks in enterprises of Moldova, Kazakhstan, Vietnam”. As part of the project, as well as within the framework of the roadmap of the “Digital University” model, a Resource Center was created for training teachers in the development and use of MOOCs and a Video Recording Studio, in which a teacher can record both classic video lectures and video lectures using innovative way - neon board.
