The Department implements modern educational programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, training in-demand and competitive IT specialists who meet the requirements of the labor market.

Goal:

Key tasks for improving students’ knowledge:

  • Enhancing competence in artificial intelligence, big data, cloud, and mobile technologies;
  • Preparing students for research, innovative projects, and international collaboration.

Graduates of the department successfully work in education, science, industry, and business, contributing to the digital development of the country.
The department identifies continuous development, innovation, and quality improvement of education as its main priorities.

A department branch was established at the KazFosfat JSC. The establishment of the department branch will contribute to the improvement of educational programs, taking into account the needs of the Zhambyl region's labor market and the specific demands of employers.

 

To enhance students' practical training and develop their professional skills, the PIzhP department works in close cooperation with KazFosfat JSC, conducting mobile classes in production facilities for specialized subjects.

 

The department has established close ties with Birlik Tüyment, TAMSA LLC, iQYZMET LLC, Sberbank, and the Arabaev Kazakh University. Student exchanges and the sharing of teaching experience in C+, Python, SCADA TRACE MODE, Project Expert, and Java programming are carried out with these organizations.

 

Departmental branches at production sites are academic-scientific structural units of the department. The branch operates at the premises of the respective organization, and its staff is composed of both department and organization personnel. In accordance with the PSP 11/12.03-2017 “Regulations on the Departmental Branch,” classes held at the branches must be included in the university's class schedule. Additionally, the educational process is effectively integrated with extracurricular activities and production internships, and department branches in production facilities are actively used for classes. For example, at the department's branch at KazFosfat JSC, classes are held for third-year students in the “Fundamentals of Computer Modeling of Chemico-Technological Processes” course. Classes

 

Graduate’s tasks:

Mastering the educational program:

  • Complete and high-quality acquisition of all disciplines provided by the curriculum.

Mastering various types of activities:

  • Ability to engage in work, study, play, and cognitive activities;
  • Mastery of key tools and methods of activity: planning, designing, modeling, forecasting, and research.

Mastering key competencies:

  • Cognitive competence: mastering methods of acquiring knowledge from various sources, developing independent learning and research skills.
  • Civic and social competence: awareness of civic duties, active participation in public life, responsible behavior as a voter and consumer.
  • Social and labor competence: ability to analyze the labor market, evaluate one’s professional capabilities, maintain professional communication culture and ethics, develop self-organization skills, and apply social experience.
  • Household competence: maintaining health, adapting to family life, respecting elders, and maintaining cultural communication.
  • Cultural and leisure competence: effective use of free time, organization of activities that promote cultural and spiritual development.

Forming a model of a competent graduate is one of the main tasks of the education system.

To achieve this goal, the learning process provides all necessary conditions to ensure educational outcomes that meet modern social and cultural requirements.

As a result, a competent and well-rounded individual is formed.
