COOPERATION OF THE REILEAP PROJECT WITH THE "ELLIN SHOES" SHOE FACTORY

The members of the Erasmus+ project "Reinforcing capacities of HEIs for leather and leather products in Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan 618930-EPP-1-2020-1-EL-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP" REILEAP met with partners - the management of the "ELLIN SHOES" shoe factory: Julia Pochinok and Periklis Skumpris, on November 2, 2021. The meeting took place in the industrial premises of the factory in the presence of seamstresses, tighteners, cutters The project manager- Bekzhan Abzalbekuly, told the audience about the goals and objectives of the international project Erasmus+, the main of which are to provide assistance to enterprises of the leather and footwear industry in Kazakhstan in the field of training, professional development of workers and equipping laboratories to determine the quality of leather.

"ELLIN SHOES" is a dynamically developing company established in 2016 in Taraz. The shoe factory is engaged in the production and sale of men's fashion shoes made of leather. Constant renewal of the assortment, introduction of new technologies and modern materials, European quality and high requirements for manufactured products allow the company to strengthen and develop position in the market of Kazakhstan.

Further cooperation of representatives of the “ELLIN SHOES” factory with the REILEAP project was discussed during the meeting, also the key topics of the upcoming workshop "Development of leather centers and investment for inclusive and sustainable growth of the leather industry in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan", which will be held in September 2022  were discussed. A survey of employees was carried out in order to find out their opinion on the state of the leather and footwear industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
